چکیده
Objectives:In this study, the applicability of dry condensate generated from food waste feed conversion process was evaluated as an external carbon source to increase efficiency biological denitrification process. Methods:The experiment carried out in form a batch test, and injected into each reactor according COD T/N ratio (C/N ratio). Then, operated under anoxic conditions for 5 hours, nitrate nitrogen analyzed at intervals 1 hour. Results Discussion:The showed low content (T-N 220 mg/L) compared high organic matter (TCOD 21,863 mg/L), satisfy process. And result experiment, it found that removal up 76% after hours C/N 7.50:1, which significantly increased control without condensed water (removal 4%). Moreover, 28% exhibited even 0.95:1, lowest efficiency. In addition, calculating specific rate (SDNR) ratio, 7.50:1 be 0.0726 mg NO3-/mg VSS/d, than 0.0038mg VSS/d.Conclusion:Based on these results, is judged possible utilize dried

globally, increasing nitrate concentrations have become a significant environmental problem and a potential risk to public health. the world health organization (who) has set a limit of (10 (mg.l -1 )) no 3 - for human consumption and (100 mg.l -1 )) no 3 - for animals. water above these limits requires denitrification. nitrates causes cancer, blue-bay syndrome, hypertension and thyroid hypertr...
متن کاملSonicated Sludge as Carbon Source for Denitrification
Ultrawaves sludge sonication technology was trialled at Maroochydore STP from February to June 2013. This was believed to be the first fullscale application of mechanical sludge lysis for enhanced denitrification in Australia. The results of the trial confirmed that sonicated waste activated sludge (WAS) could effectively replace the use of methanol as a carbon source for denitrification, and t...

Abstract Background: Increase of nitrate concentration in water sources is becoming a serious problem in many parts of the world. Nitrogen containing compounds released into environment can create serious problems, such as eutrophication of water sources and hazard potential to human health, because it has potency of causing methemoglubinemia disease and cancer. Between recommended methods, bi...

Cattle slurry and card packaging were used to improve the operational stability of food waste digestion, with the aim of reducing digestate total ammoniacal nitrogen concentrations compared to food waste only. Use of cattle slurry could have major environmental benefits through reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with current management practices; whilst card packaging is closely linke...
متن کاملApplying a Reference Framework to Open Source Software Process Discovery
The successes of open source software development have inspired commercial organizations to adopt similar techniques in hopes of improving their own processes without regard to the software process context that provided this success. This paper describes a reference framework for software process discovery in open source software development communities that provides this context. The reference...
